Welcome to the Pension Protection Fund website

The Pension Protection Fund was established to pay compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes, when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer and where there are insufficient assets in the pension scheme to cover Pension Protection Fund levels of compensation.

If you are a pensions professional -

our website provides information on the Pension Protection Levy and invoicing, on the assessment period process, our investment strategy, guidance for trustees, actuaries and insolvency practitioners and FAQs on all subjects.

If you are a scheme member -

our website provides information on how the Pension Protection Fund works and the compensation you may receive if we take over your scheme.

If you are already receiving compensation from the Pension Protection Fund,

please go to our special members' site.

Insolvency Practitioners should be aware that we have launched an online service for the submission of section 120 notices. Please go to
www.ppf-forms.org.uk, where the new service can be found. This new service will make it much easier for insolvency practitioners to submit section 120 notices and do it much earlier.
